The Citizens' Legislative Seminar(CLS) is a citizen program, organized by the Senate Office of Education and Civic Engagement, which aims to better educate the public on the functions of government. I was honored this Fall to nominate Sarah Freeman, a fierce advocate and tireless worker and volunteer in her home neighborhood of Jamaica Plain. Well done!

Senator Mike Rush and I are proud to have worked with the Healey-Driscoll Administration to secure $50,000 for Norwood Public Schools through the FY27 Innovation Career Pathways Grant Program.

This funding will help connect high school students with in-demand industries through career exploration, work-based learning opportunities, and coursework that prepares students to earn industry-recognized credentials. The program brings together schools, MassHire workforce boards, and local employers to help students build the skills and experience they need to succeed in today’s workforce.

We look forward to celebrating this grant tomorrow at Norwood High School alongside the Executive Office of Education.

Great weekend walk with Mary and Declan in the Arnold Arboretum! Just an awesome place. Congratulations to the eighteen police officers who were awarded a Trooper George L. Hanna Memorial Award for Bravery who were recognized at a ceremony held today in the state house. The Hanna award is given to local police officers who display extraordinary valor and courage to protect their local communities from harm and is the highest award the state bestows to local law enforcement.
