Honored to be on-hand today at the unveiling of the John Jackson Media Center at the BCYF Boston Tobin Community Center in Mission Hill.

John Jackson is a legendary presence at the Tobin Community Center and a stalwart leader in the broader Mission Hill neighborhood.

The renaming of the Media Lab in John’s honor is a small token of appreciation for someone who has given so much to the City and its residents. It’s fitting that youth, older adults, and community partners were all here today to celebrate John and send him off with fitting praise and appreciation as he sails into a well-deserved retirement.

The Boston Farmers Market Coupon Program is an Office of Food Justice initiative designed to increase the purchasing power of residents experiencing food insecurity while stimulating the local agricultural economy. By providing coupons for use at 18 Boston neighborhood farmers markets, the program ensures that fresh, nutritious food—including produce, protein, and seafood—is accessible to residents of Boston.
