As Boston prepares for Fourth of July celebrations, the Fisher College Police Department encourages everyone to prioritize safety while enjoying the holiday. The Fourth of July is a time to celebrate community, reflection, and the traditions that bring people together across our city.
If you plan to attend events, be aware of your surroundings, travel with others when possible, and make a plan for getting home safely. Expect larger crowds and increased traffic throughout the city—allow extra time for travel and follow all posted guidance from public safety officials.
Fireworks are a long-standing tradition, but please remember that personal use of fireworks is illegal in Massachusetts. Leave it to the professionals and attend permitted displays.
If you see something that doesn’t seem right, trust your instincts and report it. In an emergency, call 911. For non-emergency assistance on campus, contact Fisher College Police.
We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Fourth of July. Take care of one another and have a great holiday.
