Boston Hotel Watch™ a Division of ILSSA Boston, is honored to receive the inaugural “Amicus Hospitum” Award!

Today, at the Massachusetts Lodging Association’s 2026 Stars of the Industry Awards Ceremony held at Boston’s Fenway Park, we were proud to accept this prestigious distinction. This marks the first-ever presentation of the Amicus Hospitum Award.

What does “Amicus Hospitum” mean?

It’s Latin for “Friend of the Guest” — a phrase that embodies our core mission: fostering safety, collaboration, and exceptional service to protect and enhance the guest experience across Massachusetts’ hospitality industry.

We are deeply humbled and grateful for this recognition. None of this would be possible without our incredible members, law enforcement partners, and industry stakeholders who work tirelessly every day to keep our hotels and guests safe.

This morning we also offer our heartfelt condolences to our friends and colleagues at Boston EMS on the passing of Superintendent-In-Chief John Gill. John was second in command of Boston EMS and served the city for nearly 40 years. Rest In Peace C2.

Boston Hotel Watch™️ was featured this evening on NBC 10 Boston. We are proud of this initiative and very grateful for the media coverage. Special, thanks to the Langham, Hotel and Jeff Keane and Steven Cheney for their participation.
