World Ocean School Experiential education, public sails, and private charter events aboard our two historic tall ships.

World Ocean School exists to provide students of all backgrounds with immersive opportunities to learn to care for themselves, their crew, and the ir ship, becoming vessels of change in the world they inherit. We operate programs aboard the traditionally rigged schooners Roseway and Denis Sullivan.

ST. CROIX STUDENTS! Ready to experience the Virgin Islands in a whole new way?

This winter break, World Ocean School is inviting high school students ages 14–18 from across the USVI to spend seven days sailing the 137-foot schooner Denis Sullivan!

Learn to sail, take the helm, make new friends, and become part of the crew as you explore your home waters.

No sailing experience necessary. Full and partial scholarships are available!

This December, High School students ages 14–18 can spend seven days aboard Denis Sullivan, exploring the Virgin Islands, learning to sail, making new friends, and discovering what they’re capable of.

No sailing experience necessary. Full and partial scholarships are available!
