ECWA has advised the water main repair efforts are progressing well.

If work continues as planned, crews anticipate completing the repair and beginning the system refill process within approximately two hours.

Restoring service is a careful and time-intensive operation, as air must be systematically removed from the water mains and side streets to ensure the system is returned to normal operation safely and effectively. Low pressure can be expected for the remainder of the evening while ECWA crews bleed the air from the system.

If you attended the May 20th Town Board Meeting, you may have heard that the prescription and syringe drop boxes located at Town Hall, provided by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, will be permanently removed.

At this time, we unfortunately have not been given a reason for their removal, but we did want to make residents aware and share the next closest drop-off location:

Colden Town Hall
8812 State Rd
Colden, NY 14033

We understand these boxes have been an important resource for many residents and wanted to make sure the community had updated information moving forward.

From Erie County Water Authority: As part of the Town of Boston’s capital improvement program, on Monday, June 1st, crews will be completing a system shutdown that may result in a disruption of the water service to your property including a decrease in system pressure or a complete loss of water service. We anticipate this disruption to begin at approximately 8:30 PM and the work will last for several hours. We recommend that prior to this time, you take any necessary precautions to ensure an adequate supply of water for your needs.
