We had a wonderful time last Friday at our annual Juneteeth event, hosted in partnership with Lakes Mountains DEI. Folks gathered at Camp Hale to enjoy good conversation, community, and reflection. Our CEO, Jerrell Cox, shared that afternoon "Let us celebrate the progress that has been made. Honor those who came before us and made this day possible. Acknowledge the work that still remains. And commit to building communities where every child and every person has the opportunity not only to be free, but to belong."

Our Charlies and Delta students had a great time last Friday celebrating the Artist Project at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Both classrooms contributed to the final project which is on display now in the museum's Edward H. Linde Gallery!

What an incredible evening last Friday! At the end of the night, we raised over $1 million! This would not have been possible without the support, heart, and generosity of this extraordinary community. If you made a gift, supported, or attended this year's Gala - from all of us at USES: thank you!

We had over 400 guests join us on Friday, including local representatives and community members like Representative John Moran and City Councilor Ruthzee Louijeune.

We were pleased to present two awards during the evening:

- Philip Dushku Changemaker Award was presented to James T. Brett, CEO & President of the New England Council
- Mel King Social Innovator Award was presented to Dr. Gary Bailey, MSW Program Director for the School of Social Work at Simmons University

We can't wait to share more photos in the days ahead - stay tuned!
