Today we we celebrate Cinco de Mayo at East Boston Senior Center. On May 5, 1862, Mexican forces defeated the French army in the city of Puebla. Right after the Battle of Puebla, Mexican communities in places like California which had recently become part of the U.S. including Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, Wyoming, Oklahoma, and Kansas
