The 'Friends of Christopher Columbus Park' (FOCCP) is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization comprised of North End, Waterfront, West End & Charlestown residents and businesses, committed to further the beauty, protection, preservation, care, enhancement, improvement and maintenance of this Waterfront Park. FOCCP works closely with the City of Boston Parks and Recreation Department to keep the park clean, well-maintained, present events & art installations, maintain the gardens, trees & trellis, all to enhance this inner-city, urban green space & enrich the lives of all residents in and visitors to, Boston. FOCCP was officially inducted into the Boston Mayor’s Garden Contest Hall of Fame on Monday, August 17, 2026. FOCCP qualified for this prestigious honor by placing in the top two spots of the “Storefront, Organization, or Main Street District” category three separate times, securing 1st place twice and 2nd place once. 🎉
