World Federation of Bangladeshi Buddhists-"WFBB" The World Federation of Bangladeshi Buddhists-(WFBB),
AN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION OF THE BANGLADESHI BUDDHIST DIASPORA To take part in dialogue if necessary.

“World Federation of Bangladeshi Buddhists (WFBB).”

Aims & Objectives:

১) সকলের কল্যাণ, শান্তি ও ঐক্যের জন্য বুদ্ধের শিক্ষা প্রচার, চর্চা ও সুরক্ষায় বিশ্বব্যাপী বাংলাদেশী বৌদ্ধ, সম্প্রদায়ের একটি আন্তর্জাতিক প্ল্যাটফর্ম বা মহান ক্ষেত্র রূপে সংগঠনকে কার্যকর রাখা।

1) To make the organization effective as an international platform or great field for the worldwide Bangladeshi Buddhist communities in promoting, practicing, and protecting the teachings of the Buddha for the welfare, peace, and unity of all.

২) বাংলাদেশী বৌদ্ধ কৃষ্টি, সংস্কৃতি, ইতিহাস ও ঐতিহ্য নিয়ে গবেষণা,অনুশীলন, প্রচার ও বিকাশে উত্সাহ, ও সহায়তা করা।

2) To encourage and assist in the research, practice, propagation, and development of Bangladeshi Buddhist culture, history, and heritage.

৩) এক বা একাধিক তহবিল গঠনের মাধ্যমে দেশি ও প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশী বৌদ্ধদের সামাজিক, সাংস্কৃতিক, নৈতিক, ধর্মীয়, শিক্ষা, প্রশিক্ষণ, স্বাস্থ্য সেবা এবং মানবিক ও মানবাধিকার মূলক কার্য্ক্রম সংগঠন, পরিচালনা এবং সহায়তা প্রদান।

3) To assist in organizing and conducting social, cultural, moral, religious, education, training, and humanitarian and human rights activities of local and expatriate Bangladeshi Buddhists by forming one or more funds.

৪) বাংলাদেশে এবং বিশ্বব্যাপী প্রাচীন বৌদ্ধ নিদর্শন, প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক স্থান, ধর্মীয় স্থান ও স্থাপনা সংরক্ষণ, সংস্কার, উদ্ধার ও প্রদর্শনে উদ্যাগ নেয়া ও সংশ্লিষ্টদের সহায়তা করা ।

4) To take the initiative in preserving, renovating, rescuing, and displaying ancient Buddhist monuments, archeological sites, religious places, and installations in Bangladesh and worldwide and assisting those concerned.

৫) (বৌদ্ধ) যুবকদের আর্ত্ম-সামাজিক, মানবিক ও ধর্মীয় জ্ঞান উন্নয়ন, নেতৃত্ব বিকাশ, ও ধর্মান্তর রোধে সময় উপযোগী ও কার্যকর পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ ও সহায়তা প্রদান।

5) To take timely and effective steps and assist the (Buddhist) youth in developing socio-economic, humanitarian, and religious knowledge, leadership development, and conversion prevention.

৬) বাংলাদেশ এবং বিশ্বব্যাপী সকল বৌদ্ধ জনগণ, বৌদ্ধ সংগঠন এবং বৌদ্ধ ভিক্ষু সংঘদের মধ্যে বন্ধুত্ব স্থাপন, ঐক্য ও সংহতি পোষণ করা এবংপারস্পরিক সহযোগিতা বৃদ্ধি করা। গুণী-জ্ঞানী, বিশেষজ্ঞ, পেশাজীবী এবং বিভিন্ন শ্রেণীর-পেশার নেতৃবৃন্দের সাথে সম্পর্ক স্থাপনের মাধ্যমে সমাজ ও সম্প্রদায়ের সমস্যা সমূহ নিরসন করা, উন্নয়ন ও কল্যানে কাজ করা।

6) To establish friendship, unity, and solidarity and increase cooperation between Buddhist and Buddhist organizations and Buddhist monks' associations in Bangladesh and worldwide. To work for society and community's development and community by establishing relationships with talented experts, professionals, and leaders of different sectors.

৭) বাংলাদেশে সাম্প্রদায়িক সম্প্রীতি জোরদার করার জন্য সরকারকে সহযোগিতা করা, জনমত সৃষ্টি করা। প্রয়োজনে সংলাপ এ অংশ গ্রহণ করা।

7) To co-operate with the government to strengthen communal harmony in Bangladesh and to create public opinion.

🙏 WFBB Visits Rissho Kosei-Kai of Oklahoma

On August 30, 2026, we had the honor of visiting and taking part in the Sunday Prayer service at Rissho Kosei-Kai of Oklahoma. We were warmly welcomed by Rev. Chris and members of the local community, and shared a meaningful exchange of views on faith, fellowship, and building bridges across Buddhist traditions.

Moments like these remind us that though our paths and traditions may differ, our shared pursuit of compassion, peace, and understanding unites us as one global Buddhist family.

Deep gratitude to Rev. Chris and the entire Rissho Kosei-Kai of Oklahoma community for their hospitality and openness. 🙏🌸

WFBB Leaders and Dignitaries Convene in Paris: Last week (May 24, 2026), WFBB International Affairs Secretary Suman Barua (visiting from India) met with key organizational leaders and esteemed professionals in Paris for a collaborative discussion. WFBB Advisor Dr. Uttam Barua, MD, DSc; French Defence Ministry Executive Dr. Chanda Barua; WFBB Joint Secretary-General Tapash Barua Ripon; Journalist Debesh Barua; Assistant Secretary of Women's Affairs Tagar Barua; Ms. Shobha Barua; and Mr. Srideep Barua, and other distinguished guests to discuss and collaborate on future organizational initiatives.
