We're fortunate to have such a great opportunity right here close to home.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our colleagues at Pafford EMS along with the family and friends of Paramedic Britany McCarty. Britany was a friend to many EMS professionals in this region and has been a calm and caring voice to countless people in their moments of crisis. We pray for comfort to all who mourn her passing and we hope you know the impact she had on so many people.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Paramedic Britany McCarty, a beloved member of the Pafford family since 2018.

Throughout her years of service, Britany exemplified compassion, dedication, and selflessness in every aspect of her work. She cared deeply for her patients, supported those around her, and made a lasting impact on countless lives. Her presence, kindness, and commitment to serving others will never be forgotten, and this loss is deeply felt across our entire organization.

Please keep Britany’s family, friends, coworkers, and all who knew and loved her in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Bossier Parish Announces Early Voting Schedule and Polling Location Update

Early voting for Bossier Parish will be held Saturday, May 2, through Saturday, May 9, excluding Sunday.

Voters may cast ballots between 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. at either of the following early voting locations:
• Bossier Parish Courthouse, 2nd floor, 204 Burt Blvd., Benton
• 2206 Beckett St., Bossier City (former Bossier Central Library)

In addition, a polling place change will affect two precincts during regular Election Day voting cycles. All voters who previously voted at the two precincts at Airline Baptist Church will now vote at Asbury United Methodist Church.
