🔔 All Hands Assemble 🔔

REDCOM FW Commander, CAPT Lena Kaman, visited NRC Shreveport this Drill Weekend for an official engagement. Her visit reinforced the command’s priorities, recognized the sustained efforts of the Ark-La-Tex Reserve Sailors, and strengthened alignment with the Navy’s strategic vision.

During the All Hands ceremony, Sailors were formally recognized for their outstanding contributions, highlighting the dedication that keeps NRC Shreveport mission-ready.

Ready for an extraordinary post-deployment experience? Join fellow Sailors and their guests for the Returning Warrior Workshop in beautiful Branson, MO!

Hosted by the Navy Reserve Region Readiness and Mobilization Command, Fort Worth, this supportive and FREE event is happening from March 13-15, 2026. It's designed to provide tools to help you and your guest reconnect, build resiliency, and discover available resources as you navigate the transition from deployment.

✅ What's Included?
All travel, meals, and hotel expenses are completely covered for each Sailor and their designated guest through the Yellow Ribbon Program.

✅ Who Is Eligible?
Eligible Sailors include:

Reserve Component (RC) Sailors who have completed a mobilization.
TAR/AC Sailors who have completed an Individual Augmentee (IA) deployment.
The Sailor's authorized guest is also fully funded!

🌟 NRC Shreveport Sailors and Marines Volunteer at Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana 🌟

Sailors and Marines from Navy Reserve Center (NRC) Shreveport proudly demonstrated their commitment to service beyond the uniform by volunteering at the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana, supporting both the Food Pantry and Martha’s Market.

This outreach event allowed our service members to connect with the local community and directly support families in need. Throughout the day, NRC Shreveport personnel assisted community members with shopping, bagging groceries, and helping deliver food to their vehicles. In addition, they packaged 188 food boxes, ensuring that 188 families across the area received the support they needed.

💬 “This was more than just volunteering, it was about strengthening bonds with our neighbors and making a real impact for families right here at home,” shared one participant.

👏 The dedication of these Sailors and Marines highlights the Navy Reserve’s commitment to community engagement, compassion, and teamwork. By coming together at the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana, they not only supported the Food Bank’s mission but also upheld the Navy core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment in action.
