I’d like to thank those who trusted me with their vote and supported my campaign. I would like to wish Keagan Neill and Devon Thompson congratulations on winning their bids for the Borger ISD Trustee seats. I know their hearts are in the right place and they will serve the district well.

A prayer:

God, I pray that they live in respect and reverence of you and your Kingdom. May Christian school board members be strengthened with your spirit and live boldly. And when the next election comes, may you bring men and women who love and honor you to serve on the school board.

April 28, 2023 - Congratulations to the BHS Theatre Department. We love you, Richard Alejandro and cast. What a wonderful production of Cyrano de Bergerac at the Borger Country Club.

This is not a post for or against, but once again to bring awareness to what is going on in the state legislature and bills that are moving that impact public & charter schools.

HB3 and HB13 have both passed and are moving to the Senate. Reach out to your reps people and let them know how you would like them to vote. They work for you!

-HB3 filed by State Rep. Dustin Burrows (R-Lubbock), would require every Texas school district and school charter to have at least one armed security worker on every campus. It would also require annual safety audits and authorize the Texas Education Agency commissioner to appoint a conservator or board of managers if a district fails to meet safety standards.

-HB13 by Rep. Ken King, R-Canadian, which would require mental health training for employees working with students; tighten regulations about schools’ active shooter plans; and create a school guardian program, which would allow school employees who are certified to carry guns on a campus.
