Tomorrow, June 5th, Officers will be participating in the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New Jersey. The Special Olympics Games will take place this weekend at TCNJ. The Bordentown Township Police Department is seeking qualified retired law enforcement officers for the position of Class III Special Law Enforcement Officer (SLEO III).⁠

This role provides an opportunity to continue making a difference in the community while helping maintain a safe environment for our schools.⁠

Qualified candidates must meet all eligibility requirements, including retirement in good standing from a New Jersey law enforcement agency and possession of the appropriate NJ Police Training Commission certification.⁠

Today, we celebrated our 3rd Grade LEAD graduates by rewarding them with a water ice party! These kids worked so hard all year learning everything SLEO 3’s Crowell and Fernandez threw at them. Great job kids!

Our officers have been busy the last few weeks!

LT Nucera and Ptl Giorgianni stopped by The Learning Experience for Bordentown Community Helper Day along with Bordy to show the inside of our patrol vehicles and to interact with the kids!

ACO Bencivengo recently stopped by Clara Barton School to speak to our 3rd graders about the responsibilities that they have to their pets and to also show off some of her animals!

Finally, Ptl Alexander and his partner K9 Remi gave a presentation to Bordentown Regional High School’s Forensics class about our K-9 unit, including a demonstration by K9 Remi himself!

The Bordentown Township Police Department is currently accepting applications for Entry-Level Police Officer.

This is an opportunity to build a career in public service with a department committed to professionalism, integrity, and community engagement.

Candidates must be between 18 and 35 years old, possess a high school diploma or GED, and hold a valid New Jersey driver’s license. Applicants must also successfully complete the required background investigation, physical fitness testing, medical and psychological evaluations, and drug testing.

Prior police certification is not required. Selected candidates will attend the New Jersey Basic Course for Police Officers (Police Academy) as part of the hiring process.

Applications must be submitted through PoliceApp.com. The deadline to apply is May 15th, 2026.
