🚨🔥 FIREWORKS ARE NOT WORTH THE RISK. 🔥

ANDERSON VALLEY — PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY.

We are in fire season. Vegetation is dry, conditions can change rapidly, and one spark is all it takes to start a fire that can threaten homes, property, and lives.

The Anderson Valley Fire Department is asking everyone DO NOT USE FIREWORKS.

Fireworks are not harmless. Fireworks can ignite grass, brush, trees, structures, and vehicles — and once a fire starts, it can spread rapidly.

If you see someone using fireworks or intentionally creating a fire hazard, REPORT IT.

Anderson Vally Fire Department Engine 7471 and crew is prepositioned in Lake County as part of a strike team. Prepositioning is done to counter an immediate spike in regional wildfire danger. Driven by the ongoing extreme heat, low relative humidity, and gusty winds, this emergency deployment aims to intercept and suppress potential fire starts before they can escalate into larger incident. The AVFD is proud to support these critical response efforts.

The volunteer firefighters of the Anderson Valley Fire Department have responded to two incidents this week.

First, the Anderson Valley Fire Department sent a water tender and two firefighters to support the Feliz Fire, arriving Saturday evening and working overnight into Sunday mid-day. Our water tender helps wildfire crews by delivering and supplying large amounts of water in areas without hydrants, keeping engines and hose lines flowing. We were proud to support Hopland Fire, CAL FIRE, and multiple other departments in a coordinated effort.

The second incident was The Ingram Fire today in Yorkville where the crew of 7484 knocked down a fully engulfed back hoe, preventing spread to the wild land.
