BULK PICKUP REMINDERS: OCTOBER 5TH

All bulk items MUST be placed out by 7:00 AM Monday morning.

The Town will make ONE PASS ONLY through the Town for bulk pickup. Items placed out after 7:00 AM are not guaranteed to be picked up. The Town will not make additional trips for missed items.

Please have all bulk items out by 7:00 AM Monday to ensure they are considered for pickup. Thank you for your cooperation!

After 16 years of dedicated service to the Town, we are saying farewell to a valued member of our Town family.

We sincerely thank our Finance Officer/Town Clerk Kim Wells for her years of commitment, hard work, and service to our community. Her contributions have made a lasting impact, and she will certainly be missed by our staff, officials, and residents.

We wish her continued success and happiness as she begins this new chapter. Thank you for 16 years of service to our Town!

Town of Boonville & Boonville Volunteer Fire Department
September 11, 2001 – Remembrance Siren Schedule

In solemn remembrance of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, the Old Fire Siren will sound at the following times. Each activation corresponds to the exact moment of impact for the four hijacked flights, honoring the lives lost and the courage shown on that day.

8:46 AM – Flight 11 crashes into the World Trade Center’s North Tower. All passengers aboard are instantly killed, and employees of the WTC are trapped above the 91st floor.

9:03 AM – Flight 175 crashes into the WTC’s South Tower. All passengers aboard are killed instantly and so are an unknown number of people in the tower.

9:37 AM – Flight 77 crashes into the Pentagon. All passengers aboard are instantly killed and so are 125 civilian and military personnel in the building.

10:02 AM – Flight 93 plows into an empty field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Although its ultimate target is unknown, it was likely heading for either the White House or the US Capitol.

10:07 AM – “Last Alarm” Tribute

At 10:07 AM, the siren will sound three short sets, symbolizing the final return to quarters for the fallen. In emergency service tradition, the radio code 10‑7 signifies “Out of Service.”
