The grave of Jacob Johnston Sr., a distinguished Revolutionary War Patriot and War of 1812 combatant, was honored by the Captain Jacob Warrick Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, on Saturday, April 25th. The beautiful day allowed for a fitting ceremony attended by Chapter members Regent Miranda Graham Kolley, 1st Vice-regent Lisa Alexander, Brenda Black, Chapter Registrar, Chapter Chaplain Susan Welde Weber Gahagan, Chapter Treasurer Ann Ahrens, Chapter Recording Secretary Nancy Heim, and Liz Alexander.

Warrick County - Our Chapter and State Society needs your support. Our State Regent is honoring the MIA from Word War II. She is placing bricks for each MIA from our state at Monument Circle in Indianapolis.

Warrick County has seven service men who are still missing in action.

These men are:

🇺🇸Cannon, Russel E. - Lynnville - Navy - SEA1 Baltic Sea - Date of Loss 5/1/1945

🇺🇸Franz, James C. - Army - Capt. - Philippine Islands - Date of Loss 12/23/1941

🇺🇸Fuchs, William G. - Army - PFC - France - Date if Loss 11/18/1944

🇺🇸Hadley, Lowell A. - Army Air Forces - Pvt - Ecuador - Date of Loss 7/13/1942

🇺🇸Hadley, Walter H. - Army - PFC - Philippine Islands - Date of Loss 6/13/1945

🇺🇸Johnson, William E. - Boonville - Navy - SEA2 - Philippine Sea - Date of Loss 12/18/1944

The current phase of this project involves fundraising. If anyone or any organization is interested in funding a brick (fully) or partially please contact our chapter.
