Bilingual Specialist
Under general supervision of the principal, subject to the day-to-day direction of classroom teachers, to assist teachers in supervising classroom activities of students; to relieve teachers of routine clerical and authorized instructional duties; to perform related duties as required.

Salary
Bilingual Specialist $14.13 - $15.06 an hour per Column D on the Classified Salary Schedule.

Benefits
Employee will be a member of the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) to which both the employee and AVUSD contribute. Employee will receive Health, Dental and Vision insurance for employee and their family.

Work Hours/Year
7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week, 10 months per year, pending successful fingerprint clearance and submission of a recent tuberculosis test as required by the California Education Code.

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, Anderson Valley Unified School District will be postponing the first day of school until Tuesday, August 25. Additionally, all classes will be held through distance learning only until further notice. The school sites will mail letters to families that will give more detailed information specific to your child's grade level, class assignments, and directions for students to attend school through distance learning. If you have any questions please contact the District Office at 707-895-3774.

Debido a la reciente pandemia de Covid-19, las escuelas de Anderson Valley pospusieron el primer día de clases hasta agosto 25. Además, todas las clases se llevarán a cabo a través del aprendizaje a distancia hasta nuevo aviso. Las dos escuelas mandaran cartas por correo a las familias cuáles serán específicas a el grado de su hijo, las tareas y las instrucciones para que los estudiantes asistan a la escuela a través del aprendizaje a distancia. Parents and Guardians,

Starting next Monday, March 23, school meals will be provided on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays only. No meals will be available for pick up on Tuesdays or Thursdays.
Meals will include two breakfasts, two lunches, and two milks. Pick up will still be outside of Anderson Valley Elementary School from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
This change will remain in effect through Friday, April 2, after which time meals will be discontinued because of Spring Break, which is scheduled for April 3 through April 12, 2020.

Parents and Guardians,
Starting Wednesday, March 18, all schools in Anderson Valley will be closed. The school district will still provide instruction, but it won’t be in classrooms on campus the way it usually is. Parents and guardians who don’t have internet access may call the high school office at 895-3496, the elementary school office at 895-3010, or the District Office at 895-3774 for the information. The same information will also be posted outside school offices.

This change in our school district will remain in effect until Monday, April 13, or later. Please do not send your children to school sites, as no services or adult supervision will be available.

School meals will be available for all students Preschool through twelfth grade. Meals will be available for pick outside of the elementary school office each day between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for.
