The Town of Boonton is transitioning from Nixle to RAVE Smart911 for emergency notifications and community alerts.

RAVE Smart911 will allow the Town to provide residents with important information about emergencies, severe weather, road closures, public safety incidents, and other time-sensitive community updates.

Residents are encouraged to sign up for RAVE Smart911 notifications to ensure they continue receiving alerts from the Town.

🛩️Yes, 2 F16s flew overhead around 9am this morning. They were intercepting a plane that mistakingly flew into restricted airspace due to the President being in Bedminster.

As of 1:30pm, Aug 8, Boonton Ave has been reopened to all thru traffic.

🔸ROAD CLOSURE 🚸

A tree fell and is blocking Boonton Avenue Between Wootton Street and Sheep Hill Road (BoontonTwp). The roadway is impassable and requires utility company response. Vehicles can access Boonton Avenue address up to 739 Boonton Avenue from Boonton and Sheep Hill Road from Montville. Use caution if you are local traffic only. The roadway is closed to through traffic.
