📌 VOTE at the Community Center in Shafer Park - 37 Park Drive, Boonsboro (the light gray building with dark red shutters at the end of the big parking lot at Shafer Park)

🌟 There are 2 Candidates for Assistant Mayor: Anthony Nally and Hugh O'Neill

🌟 There are 3 Candidates for Council Members (3 open seats): Ken Ebmeier, Matthew Small and Ricky Weaver

🌟 Write-in candidates can be written on the Election ballot, but remember that a checkmark ✅ or ❎ is required next to the write-in candidates name for the vote to count.

📍 THIS Saturday, May 16, 2026
❌ NO TVs, Computer Monitors or Computers
📌 Your items should be placed at your curb by Friday evening & J&J Trash Inc. will pick them up on Saturday!!

✅ Acceptable Items: Metal appliances (washing machines, clothes dryers, dishwashers, ovens, stove, BBQ grills, water heaters, microwave ovens, and other appliances), furniture (wood, metal & plastic), carpet (rolled & tied), mattresses & box springs, miscellaneous junk and other items that are too large or too heavy to be placed inside a trash bag.

❌ Unacceptable Items: Televisions and computer monitors, computers, any item with Freon gas (air conditioning units, refrigerators and dehumidifiers), car batteries and automotive parts, tires, toxic materials, construction & remodeling items (including drywall, counter-tops, toilets & sinks, bathtubs, lumber, shingles, siding, concrete block & bricks), propane tanks and yard waste (grass, sticks, plants, and tree limbs)

🛢🗑️ J&J Trash Inc. can take EMPTY paint containers. To properly dispose of paint cans, paint must be completely hardened within the can and the lid must be off.

Any objects not out at that time will have to be stored by the property owner until the next scheduled bulk collection in the Fall in Shafer Park.

📌 Shafer Park - 37 Park Drive, Boonsboro

🐴The Wagon Train will drive down Main Street, loop around the traffic circle, come back down Main Street and enter Shafer Park through the main Shafer Park entrance. Boonsboro will have their own Wagon Train parade!!

📌 Wagon Train arrival times are as follows:
🐴 They will be on Main Street at 12 noon, and it will take them about 30-45 minutes to loop the circle & come back to the Shafer Park entrance.
🐴 They will be in Shafer Park by 12:30 – 12:45pm. Pony rides will be provided for children in the Park, as well spinning demonstrations. Food items will be available to purchase from local non-profit groups.

With its strategic geographical location between the Allegheny Mountains and the Blue Ridge Mountains, Washington County played a key role in opening the West to our nation."

Authentic wagon trains pulled by horses and mules re-enact the travel during the 1797 development of the National Pike beginning in Clear Spring on Friday and ending with old fashioned activities in Shafer Park on Sunday, May 17th.
