Congratulations to Class 1 of the UNC System Police Academy!! We're proud of you!!
Congratulations to the 2026 graduates of the first UNC System Police Academy! The 16 graduates represent the inaugural class of the System’s Basic Law Enforcement Training program, which prepares cadets for the public safety needs of university campuses. For months, class members were trained on criminal law, fi****ms, driver training, ethics, physical skills, and crisis response.
The System conducted the program in partnership with the NC Department of Public Safety’s Samarcand Training Academy and Sandhills Community College. The graduates are ready to protect and serve faculty, staff, and students at the state’s public universities.
