In Godly Play Sunday school for 3rd and 4th graders, one of our young people responded to the story of the annunciation of the birth of Christ by creating original artwork for the bookmark that goes in our classroom Bible.

You can see the Angel announcing the coming of Jesus (a gold halo and white wings), the cross, baby Jesus in the manger, and at the top of his artwork, the crown of thorns that Jesus wore.

His artwork is so beautiful and blessed me so much. All critical elements of our Lord and Savior: The annunciation, the physical birth of Jesus, the suffering endured for our sin, the salvific work done on the cross. It was such a blessing to me, I wanted to pass it on.

Back by popular demand, BUMC Children's Ministry Advent Boxes flew out the door yesterday afternoon, just 2 hours after being set out! The Children’s Ministry team is busy today assembling the next installment so you can grab your box in time for November 28th - the first Sunday of the Advent Season. Our Advent Box is a wonderful way for families to spend time together in anticipation of Christmas.

In Club 45, 4th and 5th graders made "Thanksgiving Turkeys" to be sent home to folks who won't be able to spend the holiday with family. Each "turkey" was created with love, prayed over, and STUFFED with chocolate treats! Thank you BUMC Club 45 for spending Wednesday afternoon sharing the love of Jesus with others! Next Generation Now!

BUMC Children's Ministry had so much fun packing Halloween bags for our first-line workers at Watauga Hospital! Thank you Club 45 for choosing all the Best candy and writing notes of encouragement for each bag! Thank you too to Kathy Moorman for help in prepping bags for delivery! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
