The late summer heatwave will stretch through the remainder of this week before conditions cool slightly by the weekend. Little or no rain is forecast during this stretch of hot weather.

The Village of Blue Mound 2026 Fall Rummage Sale will be September 17th, 18th & 19th. You are not required to have a sale all three days, but I received feedback from residents after the Spring sales and they wanted the option to have one Thursday as well.

Sign-up sheets are now available at the Village office. Our office is open Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4:00 pm. The deadline to sign-up is 9/15/26. If you can't make it into our office during business hours, please let me know and I can send the sign-up sheet via email to complete & return.

I will make sure to advertise our town rummage sale to multiple sites on Facebook, but if everyone can spread the word as well that would be great.

When outdoors in the heat, wear lightweight, loose-fitting, and light-colored clothing to reflect heat and sunlight. If you will be spending time outdoors, hats are also a good idea to protect your face and scalp from harmful UV rays. Also, don’t forget to apply sunscreen liberally. weather.gov/safety/heat
