The President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Civic Association met at the annual Bonita Firemen's Pancake Breakfast. Along the way, we collected some material which will be useful to the Public. Pictures of the event to follow. The food was fantastic: we all ate too much. I got to say "hey!" to some old friends.

The SVCA meeting for August is scheduled for August 5, 2026 at 6:30 PM, in the library’s community room.
While we have received a few membership renewals, we want to encourage past members to renew their membership. At the next two meetings, I will be at the door to take your checks and/or cash. Attached is the SVCA’s new membership application for your use or I will have them available prior to or during the meeting. You can also go to the SVCA’s website www.sweetwatervalleyca.org
Our August meeting will have presentations and answers to your questions from the California Highway Patrol and the County Sheriff. They will present some new changes that they plan to implement regarding their service to the Sweetwater area.
At our September meeting, we will be bringing back THE STATE OF BONITA with District 1’s Supervisor Paloma Aguirre. The plans for this meeting are still being worked out, but it looks like it will be on Thursday, September 3, 2026, 6:00 PM, at the Valley Vista Elementary School. Day of the week has been changed as Wednesday is a Board of Supervisors meeting. You will be notified at a later date with further details.
