Today, Holmes County Emergency Management joins our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honoring the first responders who answered the call without hesitation.

Twenty-five years have passed, but the courage, sacrifice, and unity shown on that day remain a powerful reminder of what it means to serve others.

We honor those who never made it home, those whose lives were forever changed, and the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS professionals, dispatchers, military members, and countless others who stepped forward when they were needed most.

May we never forget their sacrifice, and may we always remember the strength we find when we stand together.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

If spending time outdoors:

• Limit strenuous activity during the hottest hours
• Check on elderly relatives and neighbors
• Never leave children or pets in a vehicle

Barricades are in place at McCarnley Road due to culverts being washed out.

Please avoid the area, do not drive around barricades, and use an alternate route until further notice.
