On Saturday 06/13/2026 there was a block party event in the City of Ladonia with hundreds of people in attendance. After the official event ended a significant number of people went from the party to the Texoma Housing Authority on Paris St in Ladonia. While the crowd was gathered on Paris St an altercation broke out leading to a series of gunshots fired into crowded areas of the Texoma Housing Authority by multiple suspects at approximately 3:30 AM on Sunday 06/14/2026. The Fannin County Sheriff’s Office was in the area and responded quickly as the crowd was fleeing the area. No injuries were located initially but a victim was found later at a hospital out of the county with non-life-threatening injuries. Numerous vehicles had been shot and damaged. Approximately 40-50 rounds were fired from several locations.

The Sheriff’s Office has identified several suspects and made one arrest so far, with multiple additional arrests expected.

We have seen several videos and social media posts from people that attended the event but have not yet cooperated with the investigation. We are requesting that anyone with photos, videos or any other evidence please provide that information to the Sheriff’s Office to aid in the investigation and arrest of those that put many innocent lives at risk that night.

The Fannin County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for Alexis Matus (17 year old female) that was last seen near Trenton on 05/24/2026 around 9PM.

If you have any information on her safety and location please call 903-583-2143. She is not wanted for any crime but is listed as a missing person at this time.

FANNIN COUNTY, TEXAS-Over the Memorial Day Weekend, the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office and the Fannin County Criminal District Attorney’s Office with the assistance of Skull Games Solutions (www.skullgames.org) conducted a multi-day operation targeting buyers of commercial s*x/prostitution. During the course of the operation 10 individuals were arrested for Felony Solicitation of Prostitution. Additionally, there were charges for Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1, Resisting Arrest and Theft of Material.

Commercial s*x crimes are the single largest contributor to human trafficking, often leading to assaults, and a variety of other offenses. These ten men showed up to exploit others. The men varied in occupation, financial status and age. Some even travelled from hours away to commit their crime. Instead of exploitation they were met by members of the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office waiting for them with handcuffs and a ride to jail. Exploitation of others in Fannin County will be dealt with swiftly and to the fullest extent of the law.

We are here to protect the vulnerable and arrest those that would exploit them. Thank you to Skull Games Solutions for the assistance, we look forward to working together again on future operations.

On Friday 05/15/2026 the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office along with Texas Department of Public Safety and Bonham Police Department executed a search warrant in the 1900-Block of Franklin St in Bonham, Tx. The Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team and Narcotics Unit served the warrant successfully and secured the property quickly with no danger to the public or neighbors.

The target of the investigation was Jeffrey Dunlap. He has an extensive criminal history going back many years in Fannin County in the illicit narcotics trade. Dunlap is a convicted felon and was in possession of fi****ms and a wide variety of narcotics.

Jeffrey Dunlap was arrested from the residence for the following offenses:
