🇺🇸☀️ LABOR DAY WEEKEND AT WRA! ☀️🇺🇸 + MVOP upcoming Events!
Summer may be winding down, but we’re not done yet! Come celebrate Labor Day Weekend at Woodmont Recreation Association with one more big afternoon at the pool! On Labor Day September 7, here's what we have lined up:
🎶 DJ Andrew will be keeping the music going all afternoon until 6 PM
🍕 Pizza will be for sale from 4–6 PM
🥫 Can Man makes his FINAL appearance of the season!
🙋 NEED A FEW MORE MVOP HOURS?
If anyone is looking to squeeze in a few more MVOP hours before the end of summer, we’d love to have a few volunteers help distribute pizza from 4–6 PM. It’s an easy way to pick up some hours while helping us feed the masses and meet your neighbors! If interested please DM us and we will contact you separately.
And don’t worry if you can’t make it — more MVOP opportunities are coming. The first will be a big pool cleanup on Saturday, September 12, from 9 AM–12 PM. We’ll need plenty of helping hands, so mark your calendars. More details to come!
🍂 AND REMEMBER — WRA IS MORE THAN JUST A POOL!
Closing day doesn’t mean WRA closes for the year. Woodmont is a year-round facility for our members, and we want to keep finding more ways to bring our community together long after the last cannonball of summer.
Next up: FALL FEST — NOVEMBER 7! 🍁🎃
Fall Fest will also feature our Paint the Brick Fundraiser! 🧱🎨 We’ll be sharing more details soon, but this will be a fun opportunity to leave your mark on WRA while helping support and improve the facility we all enjoy throughout the year.
🪧 WRA YARD SIGNS
Those WRA yard signs made a real, positive impact on the pool this summer, and we’d love to reuse them again next year!
If you don’t want to store yours over the winter, this weekend is a great time to bring it back to the pool. We’re happy to store it for you until next season. If you don’t mind hanging onto it, even better! Reusing the signs saves WRA money and keeps perfectly good signs out of the trash.
💰 ONE FINAL PUSH TO “SPLIT THE SPLIT!”
We’re making one last push toward Splitting the Split, and WRA will MATCH ALL DONATIONS UP TO $500!
If you’ve been thinking about contributing, now is a great time to make your donation go twice as far and help us finish the season strong.
Come enjoy the music, grab some pizza, say goodbye to Can Man, pick up a few MVOP hours, and help us celebrate the end of another great summer at WRA.
