This past weekend, a number of our members attended a UTV Operations Training Class at the Eastern CT Fire School, led by ECFS Instructor Wallack and Instructor Knoll. The course focused on the safe operation of utility task vehicles and their effective use during emergency response incidents in challenging environments. This included a practical component on the UTV Course on the ECFS property. There were over 16 different evolutions including challenging hills, rocks, mud pit, angled terrain, etc. All of our members enjoyed the challenges that each of them were put through.

🚒🌊 Training for When Every Second Counts 🌊🚒

Last night, members of the fire department conducted a water rescue training exercise at Bolton Lake, launching Marine 134 and training with the AquaEye.

The AquaEye is an advanced sonar device that helps rescuers quickly search for submerged victims, making water rescue operations faster and more effective when every second matters.
Regular training ensures our members are prepared to respond safely and efficiently when our community needs us.

BVFD assisted students at BHS who recently organized and participated in a strategically planned mock vehicle accident simulation designed to highlight the real-life dangers and consequences of impaired and distracted driving. This educational theater presentation was created to provide students with a realistic, impactful learning experience. 🚒

On 4/12/2026 at approx. 3:00am, The Bolton Vol. Fire Department was called for mutual aid to the town of Hebron for a 2nd Alarm Structure Fire. Tanker 234 arrived on scene assisting Hebron Fire Department with shuttling water while ET 134 established a water supply nearby.
