Tonight, we are incredibly grateful to our community for your support in voting YES on the bond measure. Because of you, our department will be able to invest in much-needed capital equipment to better serve and protect our residents.

I believe with the bond everyone benefits from it. We have the ability to get more gear for personnel to where we can have a spare set that would be used after the first set has been through a structure fire or other types of fires that leaves our gear dirty, giving us a chance to wash the first set and not worry about another call. The bond will also give the department a chance for newer equipment. Newer trucks that are less likely to have issues. Additionally this would help the department have another step towards having the training capability to put on a fire one and two class that could make sure our responders are trained properly.

For those that don't know the red area is the Central Polk County Fire Protection District. It does not include those inside the city limits of Bolivar. Please if you live in this red area get out and vote Tuesday April 7th!
