The primary duties of this position will be the assistance in the preparation of insurance claims for contents of damaged dwellings. An on site inventory of household contents will need to be completed. Typically the damage will be due to a fire loss. The inventory will be conducted by using handheld digital recorders. The inventory must be prepared on a room to room basis and/or contents outside the property. The digital recordings will be transcribed onto a spreadsheet. Once the inventory has been completed the items will need to be priced. The value must be determined by identifying a local retailer’s (if available) cost for the items. This will be done in the office using various web sites to establish values. The inventory will be conducted at the various locations in Ohio and occasionally in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Indiana. Transportation will be provided.

This is a work from home position. Internet access and a computer is a must. The job entails pricing personal property inventory utilizing a predetermined group of online websites. Navigation of Google Sheets is required as face to face training is not an option at this time. There will be a minimum number of items priced per day required to keep this position. This is not a staff position but will be on an independent contractor basis and you will need to pay taxes on the money earned.
The pay will be on a per item basis of $.25. The expected amount of items priced per day is 200 for the first week and 300 the second.

This position will require a high energy individual that is self motivated, and has the ability to stay focused on details. This person will need to be able to travel and work throughout Ohio, western Pennsylvania, and northern West Virginia. The job will consist of conducting an inventory of personal property in fire and water damaged homes throughout the year and in all the elements. Inventory will be recorded on a voice recorder. Once recorded you will transcribe the inventory into Google Sheets. Once transcribed you will price each item in your inventory. You cannot be afraid of getting dirty! This is an incredibly rewarding career as you will be assisting people after they have a major catastrophe. This job comes with a high level of responsibility and will need to have an individual with strong moral character. You have to be computer savoy and willing to work long and late hours on the occasion.
