The website now has all of the sales listed that have occurred thru May of this year. We are still seeing properties consistently sell for more than the current values that were established back in 2023. Take a look and see what properties are going for. You might be surprised!!

Tangible Personal Property is required to be assessed by state law. I’ve heard recently that some people think this is just a way to raise taxes on businesses in Hardeman County. This is NOT true!! It’s state law and all 95 counties in the state of TN do this. Please see the attached link that gives more information. The schedules are due back in to the Assessors office by March 1st per state law.

Happy Veterans Day!

The Hardeman County Assessor of Property office will close today at 1:00 so that we can pay our respects and attend the funeral of our dear friend and colleague Tracy Byrum. We will resume normal business hours tomorrow. Please keep Tracy’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. She will certainly be missed by all her knew and loved her.

If you have been in the Assessors office you have probably noticed that I’m a huge John Wayne fan! My sweet friend Pam Ervin noticed and gave me this beautiful diamond art picture that she made to add to the collection!! Thank you Pam!! I love it!!
