What an incredible week in Bolingbrook! From celebrating our youth and cultural diversity to recognizing public servants and supporting local charities, our community continues to shine.
🎤 TEDx Bolingbrook Youth
It was a pleasure welcoming the talented students who participated in this year’s TEDx Bolingbrook Youth event. The theme, “What If…”, encouraged creativity, possibility, and discovery. Congratulations to all of the young presenters who inspired us with their ideas and vision for the future.
🇵🇭 Piyesta Pinoy Celebration
Thousands gathered at the Village Town Center and Performing Arts Center to celebrate Philippine Independence Day and the 2026 Piyesta Pinoy Festival. The day was filled with music, entertainment, delicious food, cultural displays, and community pride. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event so special.
⚾ 2026 Bolingbrook Beep Baseball Bash
The Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex hosted an inspiring two-day tournament featuring athletes who are blind or visually impaired. Using a beeping ball and buzzing bases, these competitors showcased incredible skill, teamwork, and determination. Thank you to the Bolingbrook Lions Club and all the volunteers who made this event possible.
🚒 Fire Department Swearing-In Ceremony
Congratulations to Firefighter/Paramedic Matthew Kahn, who was officially sworn in as a member of the Bolingbrook Fire Department. We are proud to welcome him as he begins his service to our community.
🏛️ Village Board Meeting Highlights
🦋 National Pollinator Day
We proclaimed National Pollinator Day and recognized the Village’s ongoing commitment to protecting monarch butterflies through the Mayors for Monarchs initiative and habitat restoration efforts at the Bolingbrook Golf Club.
⚽ Gift from the Consul General of Pakistan
We were honored to receive a Made-in-Pakistan FIFA World Cup soccer ball from Consul General Zaman Mehdi, celebrating the sister-city relationship between Bolingbrook and Sialkot, Pakistan. The gift symbolizes friendship, craftsmanship, and international partnership.
👮 Chief Mike Rompa Retirement Recognition
After 31 years of dedicated service, Chief Mike Rompa is retiring from the Bolingbrook Police Department. His leadership, commitment to public service, and lasting impact on our community will not be forgotten. Thank you, Chief Rompa, and best wishes in your retirement.

I was proud to attend the Give Me a Chance Foundation’s 18th Annual Charity Golf Classic. The foundation provides opportunities for youth through educational, athletic, and enrichment programs that make a meaningful difference in their lives.
🎶 Wednesday Night Summer Concert Series
Everyone enjoyed a fantastic performance by The Hurricane Project at the Bolingbrook Performing Arts Center.
