Ada County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan Public Hazard Awareness Survey

Ada County is working with community members to be better prepared for natural hazards or dangers like floods, wildfires, landslides, earthquakes, and storms by updating the Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan. The plan will look at natural hazards and vulnerabilities, determine what is at risk, and find ways to reduce or eliminate future problems from those hazards.

This survey gives you a chance to share your thoughts and be part of the mitigation planning process. The information you provide will help us better understand your concerns and may lead to actions that lower your chances of getting hurt, losing important services, or having damage to buildings because of a natural disaster in the future.

This survey will take about 5 minutes to complete. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/AdaCountyMHMP

Restored wetlands, nature play areas, open spaces, beautiful unobstructed views of the foothills, and the largest swing set west of the Mississippi. Just some of the features at Ada County's Park at Expo Idaho. The park is roughly 50 acres, nestled right alongside the Boise River, and is set to open in late October.
People often assume it's in Garden City or Boise, but the park is actually in Unincorporated Ada County, surrounded by Garden City. Today, we're showing you the on-site nursery and progress on the all-wheel skate area.
From now until the ribbon cutting in six months, the park will be a flurry of activity.

Hi, my name is Scrappy, and I'm the mascot for the Ada County Landfill. My handsome face is on the front of the new Landfill Learning Center.
The Learning Center, which officially opened its doors today, is the kind of place where you walk in and say ‘Wow!’
This 2,372 square foot functional learning center is a living example of why recycling and reuse make sense. Almost everything in here used to be something else. We are delighted that in the coming years this center will be a place where anyone can learn why saving space at the landfill is critically important and why all of us should be frugal with our valuable resources. Adults, school classes, civic groups, homeschoolers, scout troops, and anyone else who sets up a tour will learn why little things make a big difference.
