The Idaho State Controller pays the state’s bills, processes payroll for nearly 25,000 state employees, and operates the state’s largest data center. Additionally, by virtue of the office, I serve on a variety of boards and commissions, including the Idaho State Board of Land Commissioners and Board of Examiners. To accomplish these tasks, our office is divided into four divisions: the Division of
Statewide Accounting, the Division of Statewide Payroll, the Computer Services Center, and the Administration Division. On average, they’ve been employed by the state for more than 12 years, and nearly one-third of our staff has been with the state for more than 20 years. Our employees are experienced and committed. I’ve personally worked here since 1997 when I started as an intern, and have worked my way through the ranks and held a variety of management positions in our office. In Idaho, the post of State Controller is an elected position. Jones, retired on October 15, 2012, and Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter appointed me to fulfill the remainder of her term. The responsibility of serving as your State Controller is a great privilege. The State Controller’s Office is committed to reducing the cost of government, providing great customer service to Idaho’s taxpayers and state agencies alike, and improving the transparency of Idaho’s finances. I’m proud to be part of our extraordinary team, and honored to serve the people of our great state! Thanks,
Brandon D Woolf
