Tiered Pricing Structure for Overages Effective 11/01/2025

Please make sure to review your bills and the correspondence that was included in your October billing statement. Effective November 1st, 2025 the new tiered pricing structure for water usage overages will be applied.

Any overages that occur from November thru March will not be seen in your billing statement until April 2026 since we do not read meters during the winter months. Please plan accordingly if you are using over your allotted 8,100 gallons/mo. Overages due to water leaks will be addressed on an individual basis with the board and reviewed.

Sincerely,
MCRR Water District Board

04.09.25 - Water Update Re: Spring Melt & High Creek Turbidity

Posting our annual Spring & High Creek Turbidity Reminder as we have new residents that may not be used to seeing a slight discoloration in their water.

This update is just informational. We are at the point where temperatures are warming up (well on and off LOL) and that means spring runoff. This time of year, when the creek is running high the turbidity rate of the creek is also much higher. We expect this each year, and we monitor our water treatment filters during this time more closely as they are working overtime. We replace as they near the end of their life expectancy based on pressure readings.

Some residents have already reported a slight discoloration of their water. Please know this is due to the higher turbidity of the creek but there are no health issues or concerns associated with this, and you don't have to boil your water.

We try to get the most life out of the filters as they are well over $500 each and there are 6 of them in the system, but in years where runoff and turbidity are high, they do have to be replaced more often and again this is based on the systems pressure readings.

Everything is running great and as it should be!

Happy Spring!

4pm update

Apologies for the delay in updates, I have been at work all day and just made my way home.

Earlier this afternoon around 1pm Kenny checked and the tank up top was filling. I've called him and he is on his way back over after we have received calls stating people up top on Paloma still have no water. He will be here shortly and I will update again once I've spoken with him.

Sincerely,
Heather Lince

6:30am 2/13 Update
Kenny was able to get the vault thawed overnight and the pumps are on and sending water to the tank. It will take a little bit this morning for the pressure to come back. We will be purchasing some heaters and installing them in the vault to prevent any future issues of freezing.

Thank you,
MCRRWD Board

NEW UPDATE AS OF 9:50PM
Kenny just called and updated me that we need to conserve due to another unforseen issue. The vault at the Creek where our intake pumps are located has frozen due to the negative temps we experienced last night and this morning so even though the float valve was addressed the pumps are unable to send water. We are going to place some heaters in there overnight to get things thawed but we don't know how thick the ice is and how long it may take. The rising temperatures should help and we will post updates when we have new news to share. Homes up top will experience water outages first but we all need to conserve please!

Low Water Pressure
Residents Kenny came over after reports of low water pressure. Due to the cold temps the float sensor keeps getting "stuck" which is telling the pumps not to send water to the tank. Ke ny is able to override this which he will do this evening to fill the tank.

We appreciate the phone calls to notify us! Hopefully with the temps warming over the next few days this will resolve but we will keep an eye on it.

12/23/24 Water Outages and Low Water Pressure

Good morning residents, we've had reports of homeowners being out of water at the top of the subdivision this morning and others are experiencing low water pressure. Kenny is here and as he was checking things out, he discovered the level sensor at the water tank was stuck and it was showing the tank as being full when actually it was empty. This sensor is what signifies the pumps to send water from the treatment plant. He is working on the sensor and currently has water being sent to the tank.

Thank you for notifying us of any issues as soon as you notice them!

Policy Change for Shut Off Notice Payments

Effective Thursday, July 25th the water board has voted to change the policy on how we will accept payments from residents that have been issued a 24-hour shut off notice.

This policy change is due to the increased number of "repeat offenders" and the additional time and burden on volunteer board members to respond and then consequently make special trips to the bank that are in addition to our bookkeepers' duties.

Residents will now receive a 48-hour shut off notice instead of a 24-hour notice (notices will be issued on Mondays) when they become 2 months past due. Their 2 options to pay the full balance owed before the deadline, will be #1 - to submit their payment via Zelle transfer which is instant and can be done through most banks or #2 - to hand deliver their payment (cash/money order or cashiers check) to our financial office (aka our bookkeeper) in Kuna. These options will be listed out on the shut-off notices.

Sincerely,
MCRR Water District Board

Hello Everyone!

It's been a bit since we've posted. We hope everyone is looking forward to spring and warm days ahead!

We have some exciting news regarding a new payment option for your water bills. We have signed up with Zelle, a free online payment app. Many of the financial institutions offer this and it's free to both the customer and the Water District. I have tested this out myself by paying my bill and it was VERY EASY and FAST!

If you would like to pay your water bill via Zelle you can search us by using the following email address: [email protected]
We will use the email verification as the "postmarked" date when applying your payments. We do ask that you include your first and last name in the description if your Zelle is setup with something other than your name. You can also use the QR code attached to pay your bill.

Please reach out to myself via email ([email protected]) if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Heather Lince
Chairman MCRRWD
