Will be doing a segment soon on Kevin Sagiao. IDOC actively denied him medical treatment which would have saved his life. I have new documents and witnesses to what happened to him at the end of his life. It is criminal what IDOC did. And the one responsible is "still" working there. :( this was one of my earliest videos that I did. It was a problem for me then and remains so today....

People often ask the question...what were you doing about what it is that you saw? I did many things...spoke out immediately about someone dying - and almost did not survive the first 6 months, spoke out about intimidation by leadership - written up, spoke out about s*x with offenders between staff and more - was told to stop, reported more harassment and intimidation - ignored, reported drugs and abuse of offenders in work release - was told nothing and later (more than 8 months after being terminated learned that IDOC leadership conspired to suppress that reporting of drugs in the community and that I was being "inappropriate" for reporting it ((can't make this up)), asking for help from leadership - being ignored again, and then fired. It is all a lot to even digest or comprehend. And of course there is so much more. I have to say I am not really sure why I should even write any of this.

There are way more important things happening in this world of ours than the issues of my so-called life.

Then I realize something when I continue to have the back and forth dialogue in my head…There are literally more than 15 to 20 thousand people who are in the system currently within Idaho. That is a lot of people.

And if this Agency treats staff in this manner just imagine how they treat those who are in custody.

That is probably the biggest reason I am writing this. I worked hard, asked questions, and was punished for it. And to the degree that I cannot ever have another state job or a job which reflects my education and experience. All because I advocated for safe work conditions for not just myself but those we look after.

And while engaging the processes and procedures and policies that all state Agencies have??? I was systemically ignored, isolated, and then terminated.

It is not just about me.

I know there are people within IDOC who are currently going through the same thing as I speak. I know there are people who are trying to put their lives back together who are also having struggles with things too because of the nature of this Agency.

It is something which is broken and our State deserves something much better.

I attempted to make the changes from within…

So now I get to do it from here.
