We've been talking about the drought along the East Coast lately but not all that far to the west the pattern has been quite wet lately and with more rain on the way through Wednesday, Flood Watches are in effect for a large area as shown in green covering the southern half of Ohio, the northern part of West Virginia, areas in northern Kentucky, far southwest Pennsylvania and the far western Maryland panhandle. Shown is also the excessive rain potential for Wednesday.

Wednesday afternoon and evening could also bring the risk for severe thunderstorms to parts of the Mid-Atlantic, eastern Ohio Valley & western North Carolina with gusty and damaging winds the primary hazard.
