Last week, we were joined by Hill Country Daily Bread's Stand By Me mentoring program for a special workday in the Teaching Garden. Elementary students and their mentors rolled up their sleeves and helped care for this growing space, making a meaningful impact while spending time learning and working together.

🔊 “Quick, with the beer, Chick!” It seems like this White-eyed Vireo is ready for Friday.

While you may often hear the White-eyed Vireo’s snappy call, spotting one is a different story. These tiny songbirds prefer to stay tucked away in dense shrubbery, rarely peeking out. But when they do make an appearance, their bright white eyes and bold personality make them well worth the wait!
