We honor the men and women who gave their lives answering the call. They deserved more than to be forgotten, and we are making sure they are not.

The MN State EMS LODD Memorial Foundation is building this state’s first permanent EMS memorial on the Capitol grounds. A real place. Permanent names. A legacy that lasts.

On Friday, May 22, from 10am – 10pm, Shake Shack at Rosedale Center is hosting a 25% Donation Day to support the MN State EMS LODD Memorial Foundation.

Every participating order helps fund the design and construction of Minnesota’s first permanent statewide memorial honoring EMS professionals who have died in the line of duty.

Governor Tim Walz has officially proclaimed May 17–23, 2026, as Emergency Medical Services Week in the State of Minnesota.

EMS professionals serve communities across Minnesota 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing lifesaving care, supporting public health, and strengthening our emergency response system.

The Office of Emergency Medical Services extends its appreciation to the EMS professionals, educators, dispatchers, physicians, nurses, firefighters, law enforcement officers, and support personnel who make this work possible.
