🍩✨Our residents had so much fun in the kitchen creating a delicious fried treat using just self-rising flour and Greek yogurt! 🥣💕

With a little mixing, shaping, and plenty of love, these simple ingredients transformed into a yummy donut-pastry treat that was too good not to share! 😋

For World Letter Writing Day, we’re putting pen to paper at Artis!Writing or dictating a letter can encourage self-expression, spark conversation, engage language and memory, and create something special to share with the people we love. For people living with dementia, it can be a wonderful starting point for connection. Not sure what to write? Here are some prompts to get you started. 📝

The perfect letter doesn’t need perfect spelling, beautiful handwriting, or even a stamp. Sometimes the joy is simply in remembering, laughing, and sharing the story together.

Dolly Parton spent a lifetime reminding us of the power of love, kindness, and showing up for the people who matter most. In the wake of her passing, we’ve been thinking about something especially important: caregiving is part of so many families’ stories. It can be an act of love, but it can also be complicated, exhausting, and deeply personal. Because of that, she continues to remind us the importance of taking care of the caregiver. That’s why conversations about aging and caregiving matter, not just when a family reaches a moment of crisis, but long before.

At Artis, we believe care is about more than meeting physical needs. It’s about understanding the whole person, supporting families, creating connection, and helping people continue to live meaningful lives.

Dolly’s legacy reminds us how much one person can give to others. Her story also reminds us that behind every family is a very human journey of love, change, and care. We’re grateful for the reminder to keep talking about it.

Like many caregivers, Dolly Parton didn’t take care of her own health while caring for her ailing husband. That’s not unusual, even among people with resources.

Our residents had a pawsitively wonderful time celebrating National Dog Day by making homemade doggy treats! ❤️

With just three simple ingredients — bananas, oats, and peanut butter — our residents got their hands busy mixing, shaping, and creating tasty treats for some very lucky pups! 🐕🍌🥜

We love finding fun activities that bring our residents together while sharing the love we have for our four-legged friends! 🐾💕

For our residents, your presence can spark joy, ease anxiety, encourage conversation, and bring a sense of calm. It's why pet therapy is a cherished part of life here. A gentle nuzzle, a warm snuggle, a familiar bark – these small moments create real, meaningful connections. 🐶💙

Dolly Parton had a gift of inspiring joy and connecting on a deeply human level through her music – a gift she shared generously with us all. We mourn her loss and celebrate her extraordinary life. 🦋

Dolly Parton has died at the age of 80. The country music legend was known for songs including “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You” and “9 to 5.” She also starred in movies like ‘Steel Magnolias’ and ‘The Best Little Wh******se in Texas’.
