Throughout the month, purple ribbons will be displayed outside the Central Office as a symbol of hope, support, and remembrance for the millions of individuals and families affected by Alzheimer's disease.

Boaz High School rising junior Taylor Cassels is exploring her passion for fashion and design! 👗🏴‍☠️

This summer, Taylor attended Auburn University's Apparel & Interior Design Day Camp, where students received hands-on experience in apparel design, interior design, sewing, technology, and college life. Taylor was even featured in an article from Auburn's College of Human Sciences, sharing her interest in fashion merchandising and her experience at camp.

We are proud to see our students pursuing their interests, exploring future career pathways, and taking advantage of unique learning opportunities beyond the classroom. Congratulations, Taylor, on this exciting recognition!

Dr. Ashley Walls recently had the opportunity to celebrate with these talented young athletes following their championship victory. Their hard work, dedication, and teamwork have brought great pride to the Boaz community.

We are incredibly proud of McKenzie Benefield, a proud Boaz graduate and one of our outstanding elementary math coaches, who was recently selected to help Educational Epiphany and Dr. Donyall Dickey lead mathematics instructional conversations with educators in the Upland Unified School District in Upland, California.

McKenzie’s dedication to excellence, passion for student learning, and commitment to supporting teachers continue to make a positive impact far beyond our district. Her opportunity to share expertise and collaborate with educators across the country is a testament to the quality of leadership and talent that comes from Boaz City Schools.

The issue affecting online out-of-district tuition payments through MySchoolBucks has been resolved. Families can log in to their MySchoolBucks account to view and submit tuition payments online.

Camp Boaz Families,

After consulting with the Alabama Emergency Management Agency and continuing to monitor weather conditions, we will dismiss on our regular schedule today.

There will be no adjustment to the Camp Boaz bus loading schedule, and buses will load as normal at 3:00 p.m.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we monitored the situation. As always, the safety of our students and staff remains our top priority.

Camp Boaz Families,

Due to the potential for inclement weather this afternoon, a potential schedule adjustment may be necessary. To ensure student safety, Camp Boaz student bus loading may be delayed beyond the normal 3:00 p.m. dismissal time.

At this time, no changes have been made. We are continuing to monitor weather conditions and will make a final decision closer to 3:00 p.m.

Boaz High School Basketball will be hosting a boys AND girls youth basketball “Boot Camp” July 6th and July 7th from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Boaz High School.

Cost $60 a kid. Discount for multiple family members.

Grades 1st-6th grade.

We will focus on passing, dribbling, shooting, play some games, etc! Last year we had a lot of fun and had a great turn out. Please make plans to join us!!

Boaz City Schools is aware that online payment for out-of-district tuition through MySchoolBucks is not currently functioning properly. We are actively working to resolve the issue.

Attention upcoming K-8th grade Boaz Pirates! Governor Kay Ivey has announced her 2026 Summer Reading Challenge, inviting Alabama students entering kindergarten through eighth grade to celebrate a patriotic summer through reading as America prepares to mark its 250th birthday.

The challenge encourages students to read six books between now and August 1, 2026, while exploring stories about America’s history, heroes, values, and spirit.

Students participating in the challenge are asked to track the books they read using a Summer Reading Challenge log and submit either a written reflection or a drawing by August 1, 2026, describing what they learned about the United States of America during their summer reading.
