🎇 MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOUR PUBLIC COMMENTS! 🎇

The Centre County Metropolitan Planning Organization (CCMPO) invites the public to review and comment on the draft Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) and Air Quality Conformity Determination Report during a 30-day public review and comment period from:
Monday May 4 through Thursday June 4, 2026.

The TIP lists the proposed expenditure of federal, state, and municipal funds for road, bridge and public transit projects for the next four years. The Air Quality Conformity Report is prepared to ensure that the TIP conforms to the air quality goals in Pennsylvania's State Implementation Plan for meeting the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS).

As part of the comment period, the CCMPO will host a public meeting to share the draft recommendations and gather feedback directly from residents, businesses, and other stakeholders. The public input will help to refine the TIP before final adoption by the CCMPO.

The Boalsburg Heritage Museum is hosting a celebration of America's Birthday on Sunday, May, 3rd from noon to 4 PM. Following the 2:00 PM program, the Harris Township Shade Tree Commission will distribute free trees in recognition of Arbor Day and the Township's continued status as a Tree City USA.

These trees were donated by FirstEnergy and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Stop by and help us keep Harris Township beautiful!
