THE MISSISSIPPI COUNTY JUVENILE OFFICE HAS AN OPENING

Job Title: Juvenile Probation Officer
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Juvenile Probation Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with at-risk youth and their families to promote rehabilitation and reduce recidivism. This role involves monitoring juvenile offenders placed on probation, providing guidance, and connecting them with community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and monitor juveniles on probation to ensure compliance with court orders.
• Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans.
• Collaborate with families, schools, and community organizations to support the youth.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for court hearings.
Qualifications:
• Must be 21 years or older
• College or experience in Criminal Justice or related field (beneficial).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and build rapport with youth.
• Knowledge of juvenile justice system and community resources.
• No felony convictions.

Mississippi County Juvenile Office would like to thank the Miss. Co. Sheriff’s Department, BPD, BFD, CYS, LSCI, Families Inc., Black Hills Energy, and all those who contributed and donated to our Annual Party in the Park Back to School event. Although, we had to make it a drive-thru due to COVID-19 it was quite a success this year as any other year. Once again thanks to everyone who contributed to our event. You’re greatly appreciated!
