Most of the joy we experience serving at the Fort, comes from the interaction we have with the Guests who come to visit and with other missionaries we serve with. I had so much fun with this cute family!

Last Hollyhock of the season. They have been beautiful this year! I have loved walking among them in the early morning, listening to the Native American flute in the background as I walk the Fort grounds in my pioneer dress. At times, for a moment I have felt as if I am actually back in the day of the ancestors.

I am grateful to the Hole in the Rock Foundation, (HIRF) Members of this board are direct descendants of original Hole in the Rock Pioneers, who have spent countless hour keeping the memory of the hard work, determination, faith and plain old "sticky-ta-tuty of their ancestors alive. As many of you know, Bruce and I have been serving a mission at Bluff Fort for about 3 1/2 month. We love the mission, the other missionaries we serve with, the story of the expedition, the visitors we get to share with and our friends and family that have surprised us with unexpected visits. I'm not the same person I was a few month ago. This mission has stretched me in ways I couldn't imagine. I feel to share it with all of you and anyone else that might find it interesting. Our part of the "Gathering" in this mission is more about preparing the ground. People from all over the world come here and they feel something they haven't felt before. Hopefully they go home wanting to feel more. If you get a chance, please come and see and know and feel for yourselves. I love you all! Thank you for the loving influence you are in my life.
