Bears Den Trail Center

Bears Den Trail Center Bears Den offers a drop-in long-distance backpacker hostel, lodging for group or private rentals, & 5 primitive campsites, plus hiking trails to explore.

Bears Den is owned by the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and operated by the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club. The historic stone mansion sits on 66 acres and is 150 yards from the AT and a beautiful, westward-facing overlook of the Shenandoah Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains.

First off let me thank everybody for their amazing generosity when it comes to bears den. We could not have gotten the rooms renovated without your help. We now eagerly look forward to expanding into weddings , corporate events n christmas parties. But first n foremost we are a hostel for hikers. That being said we come to you asking for any donations of product to help ease the cost of running this operation . Thank you so much for any and all help
