As we celebrate Jackson County Parks + Rec 50th Fall Festival, we are recognizing the partnerships that help us preserve the past and bring history to life for future generations.

Through our Cultivating Connections Program and Preserving America Partnership with Americana Corner and the Friends Of Missouri Town 1855, we’re continuing to enhance the visitor experience and create meaningful opportunities to experience mid-1800s life and agriculture.

From reproduction furnishings that bring the Webb House closer to its 1860s appearance to Star and Bright, our American Milking Devon oxen, Cultivating Connections is helping us create authentic, hands-on connections to Missouri Town’s history.

Come experience it for yourself at the 50th Fall Festival of Arts, Crafts & Music!

📍 8010 East Park Rd., Lee’s Summit, MO

It’s a great reminder to get outside and play! Whether it’s camping, hitting the playground, exploring a trail or spending time at the beach, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors in your Parks.

And with the summer heat, our Jackson County Park Rangers would like to remind you to drink plenty of water, take breaks and stay cool while you’re out having fun.

In recognition of International Day of Charity, we’re shining a light on what makes Jackson County Parks + Rec Christmas in the Park about more than just the lights.

Christmas in the Park is free to enjoy, but each year, voluntary exit donations help support many local charities throughout our community. Since the event began, more than $1.5 million has been donated to over 1,000 local charitable organizations.

Long after the holiday lights come down, your generosity continues to make a difference. Thank you to everyone who supports this holiday tradition year after year.

We can’t wait to welcome you back this year and share the magic—including a brand-new display!

Want to be part of the magic?
If your business or organization would like to support this beloved holiday tradition, sponsorship opportunities for Christmas in the Park are available.
