12:00 pm UPDATE: The leak has been capped and traffic is flowing back normal. If you live in the area around the Church and Fire Station 1, and are on Pontotoc Gas, you may not have any gas until they can come back and make the repair. Our gas at the station is out, but our line comes off the line about 50' from the break. Just make sure to check pilot lights.

TRAFFIC ALERT: CR 204 is shut down between New Harmony Baptist Church and CR 203. The debris removal crew removing a stump has ruptured the natural gas line. Fire units are on scene and Poctotoc Gas is on the way. There is no fire at this time and the road closure is strictly a precaution.

If you just don't know how to make use of your space on your trucks, give Fire Equipment Service, LLC a shout. We went from having each compartment stuffed and packed to having 1 1/2 compartments completely empty. It was a privilege and breeze to work with them. Now to find the right stuff fill the rest of the space.

Merry Christmas from our families to yours. May the rest of your day and the days to come be merry, bright and safe.

I22 Wreck 3:00 pm Update:

The trailer has been removed from the woods and the tractor is in the process of being removed.

For now if you need to go to Tupelo, Blue Springs or Sherman your best bet is to take Hwy 178 E and then get on I22 at Blue Springs.

If you are in the traffic or get caught in the traffic coming from New Albany please keep a steady safe speed when passing the scene. We have nearly had several more wrecks from people wanting to slow down and look.

We will report back when there are more updates to report.
