What an incredible weekend at our Trail Life Troop!

Our boys took on the Popsicle Stick Bridge Challenge, designing and building real working bridges with their dads. After weeks of planning, gluing, and problem-solving, we gathered for Bridge Demolition Day, where every bridge was tested to failure.
The results? Big laughs, great teamwork, valuable learning… and one bridge holding an impressive 225 pounds before finally giving way!

While our campout may have been rained out, we met up at the campsite the next Saturday and had a great time together with new families and existing families. There's nothing like bonding around a campfire with the smell of bacon and some campfire songs! Tim put on a masterful Dutch oven cooking session, Noah showed the boys how to use cast iron to cook bacon and potatoes over a fire, and Mike and the older navigators demonstrated how to use a camp stove to cook pancakes and aluminum foil "hobo dinner" meals with meat and steamed vegetables. The smells were incredible.

This week's meeting got all the boys out to fish at Lake Rememberrance. They caught some decent fish and made memories with their dads and their friends!

Last week, our older Navigators continued down the intensive first aid badge. The younger groups learned knife safety skills carving soap! Stay tuned for this week's adventures fishing at the lake.
