🚩MFC is responding to multiple wildfires statewide as high winds and dry conditions create a "perfect storm" for fire growth. To stay ahead of the risk, we currently have three aircraft in the skies today monitoring for new starts and providing aerial support to our ground crews.

⚠️ Please be cautious with outdoor burning today and tomorrow. Conditions are volatile, and a single spark can spread quickly in minutes.

Center Fire Dept and Northeast Union Fire Dept responded to a brush and cane fire at the intersection of Hwy 30E and CR 126. A tree limb fell on to the power line sparking the blaze that endangered several structures.

Center Fire Dept, along with New Albany Fire/Rescue, North Haven Fire, and Northeast Fire responded to a structure fire on CR 371. NA Rescue responded from the city and was the primary engine. Icy conditions caused several responding truck to get stuck, further hindering firefighting efforts. Due to the lack of water supply, an engine was set up to draft from the nearby lake and relay pump to another engine, and then to Rescue. A heavy tow truck was used to get equipment unstuck and up the icy hills. There no injuries from the fire, but pet were lost. A special thanks to NA for assisting.
