BLUE RIVER, CO – July 8, 2025 – The Colorado Bureau of Investigation with help from the Blue River Police Department, are currently investigating a homicide that occurred yesterday evening in the 100 block of Aspen Meadow in Blue River. A male suspect has been taken into custody on charges unrelated to the shooting incident.

At approximately 6:20 PM on Monday, July 7, 2025, the Blue River Police Department received a 911 call reporting a shooting or shots fired in the Aspen Meadow area. Officers responded to the scene and, upon arrival, also heard the sound of gunfire.
